Counselling Psychology

When: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Counselling Psychology integrates psychological theory and research with therapeutic practice. Counselling Psychologists are Psychologists who practice as Counsellors. Counselling is a talking therapy which allows individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences in a safe and confidential setting.

Counselling Psychologists work with a wide range of mental health difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders and personality disorders. They work with people who have experienced life issues such as bereavement, relationship problems, trauma and abuse. Counselling Psychologists work collaboratively with clients, exploring an individual’s subjective experience and considering the wider context to the issues they are facing. They draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, and Cognitive-Behavioural.
