Accredited 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training .My Yoga Journey Teacher Training teaches the skills required to become effective, confident and inspirational teachers of yoga. Students are encouraged to develop their own style of yoga and focus on their intentions for their future - where and who they will be teaching.￼As well as teaching the practical skills and knowledge that will enable students to teach yoga in a variety of environments and set up their own classes, students will ￼refine their own practice and explore other aspects of yoga; including mindfulness, pranayama and meditation.We believe that teaching practice is the best way to gain confidence and develop the skills that will lead towards a successful and fulfilling career as a yoga teacher.Our aims
- To teach, develop and encourage students to become professional yoga teachers
- To provide practical knowledge and experience of the physical aspects of yoga to ensurestudents are equipped to teach, manage and promote yoga to the wider population in asafe and effective manner
- To introduce students to the history, philosophy and different styles of yoga to encouragefurther development and knowledge in these areas.

About the course
This course focuses on the practical skills and knowledge that are required to teach yoga in a variety of environments and set up classes. It encourages students to develop and refine their own practice and explore other aspects of yoga including mindfulness, pranayama and meditation.
There is a strong emphasis on anatomy and alignment in asana and how yoga can be adapted to individual limitations and aspirations. Students are also given the opportunity to study and submit their final assignment on a topic of their own choice agreed with the Course Director. Students from all disciplines are encouraged to develop their potential and individual interests, respecting the diversity and different paths of yoga.

Setting up and running yoga classes; opportunities and responsibilities.
The course consists of 200 hours of training and study, witheight weekend meetings (Saturday and Sunday) 9.30 - 5.30pm, plus one five day intensive (Monday to Friday) 9.30–5.30pm.
Students will also be required to observe classes and continue with their own practice and study throughout the course.
Joining the course
Before considering applying for the teacher training course, prospective students should be aware of the commitment and time required to successfully complete the course. They should also consider that the style of yoga they wish to eventually teach is compatible with the ethos and aims of this course, which encourages students to develop their preferred individual style within this broad based learning programme.
The course fee is £2800. A deposit of £700 is required upon acceptance of a place on the course, followed by 10 monthly payments of £210, starting October 2018. In addition, students will be required to purchase the course texts.Venue
Just a few hours by train from London, Edinburgh or Manchester, York is renowned for its beautiful architecture, iconic York Minster and a wealth of visitor attractions. Our training is located at Millers Yard, a short walk from the railway station.
