Practitioners & Teachers

I am trained in humanistic integrative approaches, meaning that I work collaboratively with you to make sense of what is causing you distress, and I often draw on several theories and approaches, depending on what you feel works for you. In addition to humanistic approaches, I am trained in Compassion Focused Therapy, EMDR, and yoga and mindfulness-based approaches to psychological therapy. My background in yoga and interest in trauma, narrative psychology and the body shapes how I work. I work with people who come with a range of presenting concerns, and I have a particular interest in working with trauma. I offer long or short-term therapy to adult clients (18+), usually on a weekly basis.
My approach to practice is deeply influenced by intersectional feminist psychology. I am particularly interested in trauma and how it intersects with broader social and systemic factors such as race and racialisation, class, gender, culture, political, cultural and familial histories, and other aspects of privilege and marginalisation. I believe that understanding these intersections can be important in therapy and in making sense of who we are and how we relate to others.
Alongside clinical work, I am an academic and regularly write and publish work focusing on trauma, gender-based violence, feminist approaches to violence work, and eating disorders.
I welcome clients from all backgrounds, genders and sexualities, and I aim to work in a way that is open, honest and respectful of you.
