Jill McArthur

Adam Watling

I hold a Level 4 SEG award in Therapeutic Counselling and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. My experience includes working as a Therapeutic Counsellor within the NHS.

In modern society, we often suffer in silence during dark and difficult times. Therapy offers a safe, entirely confidential space to explore these feelings and find a new, clearer path forward.

My therapy focuses on developing a deepened understanding of the idealised self and actual self; who we are expected to be, and who we truly want to be – and ultimately what we wish to get out of life.

Therapy can help reach better self-understanding and awareness, to release feelings of shame, defensiveness, insecurity and guilt.
I offer both short-term and long-term counselling for a wide range of life challenges, including:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Bereavement
  • Guilt, insecurity, and shame
  • Identity, confidence, and self-worth
  • Family and relationship challenges
  • Impulsive thoughts and feelings
  • Addiction
  • Anger and emotional development
  • Abuse and trauma
  • LGBTQ+
